Bryan Danielson

I was originally refusing to comment on this until I officially knew that Bryan Danielson was indeed fired from WWE and it wasn't all an elaborate work (quite elaborate indeed, considering Danielson has been wrestling the indies again and just came back from a trip to Germany) but I feel this is as good time as any to say what I think.

WWE is moronic. There is no reason to keep this man off television. When is the last time fans have been so excited about a new addition to the roster? I don't remember caring about anything in wrestling as much as I cared about Bryan Danielson's long-overdue arrival in WWE since the days of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Clearly I'm not the only person who felt that way. Did anyone care about the other participants on the first season of NXT (with the exception of Justin Gabriel and his adorable dimples) at all? None of the other participants had any place inside of a wrestling ring. Bryan Danielson was what WWE had been waiting for. He absolutely has everything a real, exciting entertainer should have. He is athletic, experienced, TALENTED (though from what I've seen lately talent clearly isn't necessarily a prerequisite to employment in WWE), and the fans are really behind him. Why they don't have him headlining every weekly TV show and every PPV is well beyond me. In a business sense, Bryan Danielson is the product that sells itself. If I was Vince McMahon I would have had the strap on Danielson already. He can choke Justin Roberts with his tie every single day, before and after every match, and I'd still love him.

Here's hoping it really is a huge work and that Bryan will be back on WWE television. WWE is a sinking ship, and Danielson was the only lifeboat.
